Maiden Erlegh Trust Celebrates National Recognition for Student Happiness
Maiden Erlegh Trust (MET) is thrilled to announce that Maiden Erlegh School (MES) has been recognised as one of the top 10 secondary schools nationally in the Pupil Choice Award for 2023/24. This prestigious award, presented by Edurio, is based on pupil survey responses to the question: "How happy are you to be studying at this school?" and highlights schools that prioritise student well-being and engagement.
Jon Peck, CEO of Maiden Erlegh Trust, reflected on the achievement:
“This award is a reflection of the culture of care and aspiration that defines Maiden Erlegh School. The dedication of the entire school community in making students feel happy, welcomed, and supported is inspiring, and this national recognition confirms the impact of their efforts.”
Andy Johnson, Director of Education for Maiden Erlegh Trust, added:
“This achievement highlights the strong culture of well-being and student success at Maiden Erlegh School. It is an important moment, not just for MES but for the entire Maiden Erlegh Trust team.”
The award underscores Maiden Erlegh Trust’s ongoing commitment to fostering student well-being across all its schools. The recognition affirms MET’s efforts to build positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environments where students feel supported to achieve their best.
As part of this accolade, Maiden Erlegh School has been invited to collaborate on Edurio’s upcoming practical guide, ‘Supporting Pupil Happiness and Belonging,’ sharing best practices that contribute to student well-being across the education sector.
Congratulations to the entire Maiden Erlegh School community on this fantastic achievement!
