Maiden Erlegh Trust is proud to celebrate the success of Cranbury College, which has maintained previous standards (“GOOD” in all judgement areas) following a Section 8 Ofsted inspection on 7–8 January 2025. This brilliant achievement reflects the hard work and dedication of the staff team, the resilience of pupils, and the power of collaboration across Maiden Erlegh Trust (MET).

The Ofsted report highlights Cranbury College’s strengths, recognising its inclusive ethos, personalised learning, and high aspirations. Inspectors noted:

“Cranbury College is a place where kindness, inclusion and support pervades. This is an environment where pupils come first, and adults make decisions in pupils’ best interests.”

“There are no limits to what the school believes its pupils can accomplish.”

Highlights from the Report

  • High Aspirations: “Staff have high expectations of pupils’ achievement and behaviour. Pupils rise to these in all aspects of their work, irrespective of the length of time they spend here.”
  • Personalised Curriculum: Tailored approaches re-engage pupils in education, leading to qualifications such as BTECs and GCSEs.
  • Personal Development: A strong PSHE curriculum enriches pupils’ personal growth and confidence.
  • Reading Support: “Pupils who need to catch up receive prompt and effective support. Consequently, pupils become confident and fluent readers.”
