Welcome to Maiden Erlegh Trust, a vibrant, caring and nurturing community of highly effective schools and practitioners, serving the communities of Berkshire and South Oxfordshire.
Community, collaboration and inclusion are at the heart who we are as an organisation and we are proud to represent a broad and diverse range of school communities within our Trust. Each of our schools is a thriving learning community where high ambition and high aspiration for our children and young people are hallmarks, alongside a relentless commitment to developing the whole child so that they are well equipped to take their place in the world.
Our Trust values are Aim High - Be Inclusive - Work Together and our objective is that every school in our Trust will serve its own community’s needs whilst espousing these joint values. Additionally, we understand our responsibility to supporting the wider education system through professionally-generous collaboration and sharing of expertise whilst being open to benefitting from the strengths and experiences of others, in our pursuit of excellence.
Maiden Erlegh Trust is always open to more skilled staff and forward-thinking schools to join our community, in the knowledge that working together creates great opportunities and measurable dividends for all schools and their communities.

We set high standards of work and achieve this through providing a curriculum that also develops children's belief that they can achieve their highest aspiration, while working closely with parents and the whole community.
Our Motto is: Learn, Believe, Achieve Together.
Our young people tell us they enjoy coming to Cranbury College. We constantly strive to create an environment that enables outstanding personal development through a purposeful curriculum; a programme of study designed to meet the needs of our learners coupled with a diverse enrichment offer.
We work closely with our parents and carers to establish safe and robust networks of support for our learners. Parents help us to underpin and promote our ambitious aspirations in terms of excellent attendance and exceptional outcomes for all children at Cranbury College.
Our children are at the heart of every decision we make; they motivate and inspire us each day to achieve endless possibilities. The opportunities the school provides for them are relevant to their needs, both now and for the future.
As part of Maiden Erlegh Trust, we reflect on all we do to align with the Trust values to: aim high, be inclusive and work together.
Hamilton School is an SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) Special School in Reading catering for up to 64 students with Education, Health Care Plans (EHCP).
Expectations of ourselves, our students and the wider community of the school are high. We provide a rich and varied curriculum as well as an extensive range of extra-curricular and sporting activities.
Academic excellence, while central to the life of the school, is most certainly not the whole picture at Maiden Erlegh. Wider opportunities are provided for our students. For example, foreign language exchanges are arranged with France and Germany, and cultural exchanges with Italy and America. Students have also participated in World Challenge expeditions to Peru, Java, Tanzania, Ecuador and Zambia. An increasing number of students take part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.
A school, however, is not just the building but the community of students, staff and parents working together to deliver excellent outcomes for young people. We are determined that our students will leave Maiden Erlegh School in Reading well qualified and equipped for the next phase of their life. We do this using the educational expertise, experience and leadership from across the Maiden Erlegh Trust, working in collaboration with our sister school.
Our students thrive in a supportive, purposeful and happy environment. They benefit immensely from working with the highly trained, talented and dedicated teachers and support staff and from participating in a wide range of exciting and inspiring extra-curricular activities. As a result they make excellent progress and secure impressive results, but also grow into wonderful young adults.
These children and young people have boundless potential so, at the heart of Oak Tree School’s provision, is a rich and stimulating curriculum, specialist personal development education and targeted therapeutic programmes delivered by talented and specialist staff.
This is a wonderful opportunity to shape the culture and practice of a brand-new secondary school, working as a part of a small but dedicated team. River Academy is a school where the Trust values of ‘Aiming High’, ‘Working Together’ and ‘Being Inclusive’ are firmly established in everything we do, with high expectations for all students and a firm focus on academic excellence and participation ingrained in our every action.
